Cherokee County Search and Rescue
The Cherokee County Search and Rescue Team (CCSAR) is a part of the Special Operations section of the Cherokee County Fire and Emergency Services, in Cherokee County, Georgia. Our team is an all volunteer team that consists of 25 dedicated fire-fighters and private citizens. Our primary objective is to assist our Fire Department and Sheriff’s Office with searching for missing, lost, and injured people. We receive specialized training in Urban, and wilderness search and rescue. Training is conducted a minimum of twice a month. For information about joining our team go here. The team conducts searches for missing persons throughout Cherokee County and assists other search teams during mutual aid call outs. Requests for searches must be initiated through the Cherokee County 911 center or other law enforcement agency.
